Stand stand up paddle boarder laird Hamilton attacked by shark
Laird Hamilton Expert water man and professional surfer was out stand up paddling offshore near the west coast of Maui. When according to witness and photographer Kelly Robinson the shark was making slow passes under Hamilton till all of a sudden the shark came straight up from the bottom and just missed him! “it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen!” said Kelly. Hamilton being the water man that he is chose not to ride back on the support boat and finish his paddle back to shore. A very luck Hamilton did not even receive scratch from this near miss. Great white sharks are very rare in Hawaii but every year there are more and more sighting of white sharks.

did you have a feeling it wouldnt come back so you kept paddling – if it wanted you it would have got first time? was it just checking you out?[the way a grate white does?] i dont believe you kept paddling but well done for believing you could. i stopped surfing after watching an attack till a girl bought me a 12 ft tandem board,i felt safe on that,7 years ago now.,and paddle surf too.iknow id stay calm now if i saw one,give God a quick call and get out, or maybe carry a hoola hoop with a can of sadines! amazing.
